ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Hannah Molloy is a behavior specialist and managing director of two education companies: 

 Pawfect Dogsense CIC. 
 Amplified Behaviour.

Her businesses provide bespoke behavior management plans and education courses for animal owners, rescues, vets, and pet shops, using positive reinforcement training techniques and fear-free handling.

Hannah has studied and worked with dogs for more than 15 years and is a "Bond Over Obedience" trainer. Having earned a BSc Honours Degree in Animal Behaviour (with her dissertation published in.

Applied Animal Behaviour Science, the official journal of the International Society for Applied Ethology), she worked in animal rescues and zoos, and as a training and behavioral adviser for Dogs Trust, the UK’s leading dog welfare charity.

Her areas of special interest are dog body language, cultural attitudes to dog ownership, and the human-canine bond.

Hannah has regularly guested on BBC Radio and also features as an expert behaviorist on Puppy School, a Channel 4 television series helping new owners learn how to raise happy well-socialized dogs.

She has a passion for improving animal welfare by teaching humans about animal communication and has designed numerous educational programs, providing training in colleges, pet shops, rescue centers, and veterinary practices. 

Her current educational work includes consulting on an NHS dog bite-prevention scheme to reduce bites on children and launching The Dog Education project, with the long-term goal of providing free dog training classes and behavioral support for dog owners on low incomes.

In her spare time, Hannah enjoys scent training and dog parkour with her dog, Falkor.
